We are a very easy going and friendly Beckenham based cycling club with members of all abilities, riding together as often as possible.
As well as our weekly rides we also organise and participate in sportive’s to raise money for our favourite charities.
We are a very mixed bunch and the last thing we do is take ourselves too seriously.
Some of us are very fast, some very slow, some spend silly amounts on bikes and clothing and some don't, some ride 200 miles a week and some 20, but above all else we love to ride our bikes come rain or shine.
The Beckenham Rugby Cyclists started when a few old rugby players were, due to various excuses, unable to continue playing but still wanted to be part of the rugby club.
So on Tuesday's and Thursday's, whilst club training was underway, they got out all sorts of bicycles and attempted to get to Biggin Hill and back again before training finished at 21:30.
This started as a real challenge and Keston was about as far as they got but as time went on the bikes got better and the rugby kit was swapped for lycra...
